Presented A Successful Seventh Annual
“Queens… A Taste of the World”
Queens Economic Development Corporation (QEDC) once again hosted “Queens …A Taste of the World”. The annual fundraising effort has come to be one of the most anticipated sampling events in the city. Hailed as Queens’ largest celebration of culinary diversity, Queens Taste featured over 40 restaurants and fine eateries and attracts over 1,000 guests from the NY Metro Area. The event was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the fabulous new Citi Field, home of the Mets.
Back by popular demand from last year’s event was the partnership with renowned retailer, Macy’s. For one week prior to the event, three participating chefs/restaurants in Queens Taste hostd live presentations at the world-famous Cellar at Macy’s Herald Square.
Another encore component to the event is The Tastemaster’s Awards. Attendees voted for their favorite restaurant/purveyor in the traditional categories of Best Appetizer, Best Entrée, Best Dessert & Best Beverage (non-alcohol/alcohol) and Best Overall Restaurant Presentation.
