This webinar helps restaurateurs understand new ASHRAE and CDC guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne pathogens. Viewers will learn the role of restaurant HVAC systems in managing proper ventilation and implementation strategies and technology options that provide a path to compliance. They will also discuss why COVID-compliant HVAC systems should be a high priority going forward. Hosted and moderated by Queens Together.

About the Speakers:

Over the last 25 years, Gerri Domenikos’s career has spanned a variety of industries, the bulk of it being in Building Services and Construction, other industries include food service and Hospitality. Gerri has restaurant experience that helps her connect with her hospitality clients as she has perspective from “both sides of the counter”. Having worked in restaurant operations and as a Service & Construction vendor to restaurants, she understands the unique challenges of running a successful restaurant, and Hospitality has a special place in her heart. In her current role, Gerri works closely with clients as a trusted vendor partner to ensure their facilities objectives are met, and proactively managed.

Gabe Domenikos brings to the table 15+ years of experience serving the HVAC-R Service, Maintenance and Construction needs of Commercial Facilities in the NY Metro Area with a strong focus on Hospitality, Food Service and Restaurants. Gabe works closely with Owners, Facility Managers and design teams to ensure projects deliver on time and within budget and are built with quality, longevity and sustainability in mind.

The Queens Economic Development Corporation and Queens Tourism Council will host Queens Taste 2024 at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on Tuesday, May 21, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

We expect to attract more than 500 attendees with 50 restaurants and beverage purveyors, who will offer samples of their products. Thus, attendees will be able to bounce from table to table, tasting treats from tangy to fiery, crunchy to velvety, and sweet to briny.

Queens Taste is also a celebration of the borough -- and a great way to network. Almost all the anticipated 500 attendees either live in Queens or do business there. Many are executives and captains of industry. The atmosphere is always festive, almost giddy, creating an ideal scene for meeting and greeting.
