Beneficial Ownership Reporting Law

A new federal law requires most small businesses to file their Beneficial Ownership Information with FinCEN before the end of this year. Join us to learn about the Corporate Transparency Act and the requirement to register your business with FinCEN. Bio:

Rolando Gonzalez, Legal Aid Society, Community Development Project

Rolando Gonzalez is a senior staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society’s Community Development Project, where he represents low-income small businesses, community-based nonprofit organizations, HDFC cooperatives and tenant groups that work to preserve affordable housing. Prior to that he worked in Legal Aid’s Housing Development Unit and as an attorney in the 9/11 Small Business Legal Assistance Project, where he represented small businesses located below 14th Street affected by the events of September 11. Mr. Gonzalez was also a staff attorney at Harlem Legal Services and prior to that was Deputy Counsel for Planning and Economic Development for Congressman Jose E. Serrano. He frequently addresses community groups and he has been a panelist in multiple CLE trainings.
