This is a primer on Contract language: basic elements, some language to be familiar with, and what I call “litigation traps”–the stuff in the small print that can mean big trouble. The object is to “de-mystify” contracts, putting SMBs in a better position to negotiate and to communicate with their professionals. Part 1 introduces basic contract principals and terminology; Part 2 covers more sophisticated concepts and clauses.
