You Will Receive:

  • 8-weeks of in-person entrepreneurship training
  • Advice and guidance from guest speakers
  • Startup assistance
  • Small business resources
  • Entreprenurial counseling
  • Small business marketing resources
  • Special invitation to QEDC events
  • Complimentary access to a shared 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art workspace
  • Accelerted access to business plan development and competions
  • Up to $100 stipend for achieving training milestones to assist the business start up expenses
  • A light dinner will be provided each session.

 

 Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Committment to attend IN-PERSON training sessions and activities
  • Thursday evening availabilty, 6:30p to 8:00p for 8 consecutive weeks (March 9-May 4)
  • Timely submission of homework assignments and producing an acceptable business plan
  • Committment to full course completion

The Queens Economic Development Corporation and Queens Tourism Council will host Queens Taste 2024 at the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on Tuesday, May 21, from 6 pm to 9 pm.

We expect to attract more than 500 attendees with 50 restaurants and beverage purveyors, who will offer samples of their products. Thus, attendees will be able to bounce from table to table, tasting treats from tangy to fiery, crunchy to velvety, and sweet to briny.

Queens Taste is also a celebration of the borough -- and a great way to network. Almost all the anticipated 500 attendees either live in Queens or do business there. Many are executives and captains of industry. The atmosphere is always festive, almost giddy, creating an ideal scene for meeting and greeting.
